Wilpattu National Park
Wilpattu National Park is a national park in Sri Lanka, located in the northwest of the country. It is the largest national park in the country and is known for its rich flora and fauna. The park is about 131 square kilometers in size and has five entrances that are open to tourists. There are many different species of animals in the park, including leopards, elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, water buffalo and many different species of birds. There are also many rare and protected species in the park, including the Sri Lankan lion, the Sri Lankan leopard and the Sri Lankan sloth bear. The park is also known for its rich vegetation consisting of dry forests, swamps and lakes. The entrance to the national park is located near the town of Anuradhapura, about three hours from Colombo. Visitors can enter the park either from Anuradhapura or from the town of Puttalam. There are also several ranger stations in the park where visitors can get information and assistance.
